Slide Creation Using Templates 

Creating slides on EasyVSL is of two types: 

Slide Creation( Using Kinematic Templates) 

When creating your slides on EasyVSL you must break your scripts into a group of words so they can fit into your slides.

EasyVSL even warns you that your text is too long when you want to click next to transit your text into slides.

Some Kinetic templates break and you have to add slide makers manually after breaking your script into a group of words.

You can’t edit texts after generating slides. What you see is what you get. 

Slide Creation ( Using Classic Templates) 

I see classic templates as more suitable and flexible. You can customize and edit almost everything with the classic template.

You can change font, text color, and slide animation. When you paste your scripts, it breaks the text and automatically creates the new slide makers. You’ve access to premium images from Pixabay.

Just enter the name of the image you want and it will appear immediately into your project if available. On top of that, you can change the layout and effects on individual slides. You can even add a watermark to your slides.

The editor of EasyVSL outshines Vidnami, a close rival considering you have full access to customize classic slides.

You can add bullet points, move text around, add transition, images, etc. This is not so with Vidnami where you can’t move text around, and you’re limited to adding one image per slide. 

However,  I tried to resize the watermarks on EasyVSL slides but it couldn’t take effect. This could be a  glitch. Plus you can’t use the bulk action feature to delete images you add to all slides. So you have to do it one after another. 

Audio 

Video without audio hardly converts. Your target audience needs to get the message of your sales video before they can take action. There are three ways of adding audio to VSL: 

Text to Speech 

This is simply pasting a written script and having it converted to speech. Here you don’t record your own voice-over using Speechelo or Talkia. Rather you choose one of the voices EasyVSL offers to read your text on each slide.

Thereby creating an audio file that can sync with your slides on EasyVSL. I noticed that not all the voices ( Male & Female) on EasyVSL sound natural. Also, the process of using Text-to-Speech to create audio files takes time.

You need to create an API connection and other setups. This can be confusing and may take time if you aren’t tech-savvy. 

Import an Audio

You can import an audio file that you have created into your timeline editor. This is suitable if you have a unique brand voice.

From your PC, you select an audio file and upload it directly to your timeline.

You create VSL in 6 steps: 

Create a new VSL Project 

There are two ways to create a VSL project:

Create a VSL Project from Scratch: Here you type text on each of the slides. The process isn’t different from what you do in PowerPoint. 

Add split marks 

This is simply indicating where you want your slides to end. If you create your slides using the kinetic templates, you add split marks manually. But if you use the Classic template, EasyVSL adds the split marks automatically. 

Choose a background theme/color 

You select a theme that you think will suit the type of video you want to create. 

Edit slides 

Easy VSL creates slides for you with the texts you entered in each slide. You have options to edit your slide. You can change text font, size, color,  background, create or remove background, select a transition, and lots more. 

Add audio 

Choose any audio you want and EasyVSL will automatically upload it to your timeline. Next is to set where you want the transition between each slide to take effect.
