As a digital marketer who often engages in influencer marketing, I tested this tool to see if it can boost my campaigns. Trust me, you can never go wrong with it. 

Whether you’re an agency or brand, this influencer marketing discovery and competitive intelligence tool gives you access to real-time data on influencer performance and competitor campaigns on TikTok, Instagram, Twitch, and YouTube. 

And the interesting thing is it’s part of Semrush Social Toolkit when you subscribe to the business plan. Even if you aren’t interested in the Social Toolkit, you can have it as a standalone app via Semrush App Center, and it offers a 7-day free trial.

 So in this Semrush Influencer Analytics review, I shared my findings and experience to help you decide if it’s worth the hype.

Pricing Tier Explained 

Semrush Influencer Analytics costs $169 monthly for the Basic plan. If you need Competitor Analysis and Campaign Management, which are additional add-ons, you pay $129 monthly and $69 monthly, respectively.

You will require a token to gain access to reports of certain influencers, especially on Instagram. When you subscribe to the Basic plan, you get 50 tokens. Adding the Competitor Analytics, which costs $129 monthly, will give you another 20 tokens, making it 70 tokens altogether. 

And if you exhaust your token, you can get additional tokens to continue with your analysis on certain influencers you want to work with.

Below is how much you pay and number of tokens you get:

+25 tokens  – $50 monthly 

+40 tokens – $70 monthly 

+100 tokens – $185 monthly

Key Features You Enjoy On Semrush Influencer Analytics App

Let me show you the features Semrush Influencer Analytics offers and how they help to boost the performance of your influencer marketing campaign.

Influencers Discovery 

This is where you find YouTube, Instagram, Twitch, or TikTok influencers you want to work with. Use the various filters to sort them by their country, broadcast language, audience size, and other criteria that matter to you. 

To make it even easier, Semrush recently added AI-powered search to the Influencer Analytics App. Here, AI does the search for you based on the description you gave it.

For example, in the description box, I entered that I’m seeking a beauty guru in Miami with expertise in skincare and makeup. Since I selected Instagram as the platform, I want to discover influencers in the beauty niche. I got the following report:

From the report, all the influencers listed are in Miami, Florida, United States, and are also in the Beauty niche. 

The report showed the number of subscribers they have, total likes, quality score, last time they posted on Instagram, their broadcast language, the estimated cost amount it takes to partner with them, and other key metrics that will help choose the influencer that meets my requirements.

What I like about the Influencer Discovery tool is that it allows you to add an influencer you want to partner with if you can’t find them on the report. 

Just copy and paste their profile links on the “ Add Influencer” tab, and within a few minutes, it generates a report about them.

Campaign Management 

After identifying an influencer you want to partner with using the Influencer Discovery tool, the Campaign Management, which is an add-on that costs $69 monthly, is what you use to run Campaign with the influencer from start to finish, so you can monitor performance and track results in real time. 

Think of it as running a campaign on Facebook, Instagram, or TikTok. The Ad analytics dashboard of these social media platforms gives you a detailed report of how your ad money is being spent, impressions, engagement, leads, or even sales in real time. 

When you navigate to the Campaign Management Page, you can see:

Folders: This is where you organize and manage your influencer marketing campaigns. You can see impressions your campaign has generated, CPM, CPC, and other metrics that will help you decide if the campaign was successful. Under the folder, you also see active, demo, and archived campaigns. 

And if you want to create a new campaign with an influencer, just click the “ Create Campaign”

Do the following when setting up a new campaign with influencers:

  • Define the description and expected results of your campaign. This helps to form a report.
  • Upload a campaign image (under 3MB)
  • Enter a campaign name 
  • Set campaign dates
  • State requirements to generate the report
  • Create custom status for influencers you want to work with, content drafts, and client designs 
  • You can add custom format types to manage influencer content within the campaign.

That’s it. 

Click “ Next and the tool will send you to the campaign management space.

There you will see important metrics about the campaign such as campaign overview, influencer details, budget and ROI, client decisions and remarks, and performance metrics.

Competitor Analysis 

This is an add-on to Semrush Influencer Analytics. It costs $129 monthly and allows you to discover apps where your competitors engage in influencer marketing. And also research the ad strategy on these apps to see if they align with your influencer marketing goals.

On my current plan, I’m allowed to see a list of 5 apps. I can see more on the list if I upgrade to a higher plan. 

Let’s assume I’m looking for influencers in the finance niche. I will click on Binomo, which the competition analysis tool tells me is in the finance category. It has up to 5k influencers.

I navigated to the influencer tab to see the influencers in the finance niche on this app. Many of them are from Asia. So, if I’m looking to promote a finance product to an Asian audience, the Binomo app is the best place to find such influencers.

When I selected “ Discover Brands” from the competitor analysis tab, it showed a report of popular brands like Amazon, X, PayPal, and WhatsApp that engage in influencer marketing on YouTube, which is the social media platform I selected.

When I switched to “Twitch” another social media platform, I also saw brands like Plarium and Bynogame that engage influencer marketing on the platform.

Search by Keyword 

This is another feature I found helpful on Semrush Influencer Analytics App. It allows you to find videos, posts, streams, and reels that mention keywords that are important to your business and products.

I used YouTube to test this feature by entering the keyword “ Face wash” to see the number of videos on YouTube where such a word was mentioned.

It shows them based on date, views, likes, ER, and language.

I clicked on a video to get more reports. It shows the details of YouTube just like you will see on third-party YouTube analytics tools. 

However, I couldn’t see the sites mentioned because my plan doesn’t support it. I need to upgrade to a higher plan to see the sites mentioned, which in a way reveal the brand mentioned in the video.

You can repeat this process on other social media platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and Twitch where you see posts, streams, and reels where keywords or products related to your brand are mentioned.

List

This is where you manage the influencers you’ve identified. Create a list of them, add new ones using their influencer links, and Semrush Influencer Analytics App will parse and update them into your influencer list. 

When you have a list of influencers that matches your brand and your budget, it saves you time and energy and makes it easier to reach out and collaborate with them anytime you want. 

Tools

This is a shortcut to identifying top 100 influencers you’d want to work with. It rates influencers by subscribers, average views, ER%, and broadcast language. 

Let’s check the top 100 influencers on YouTube using Semrush Influencer Analytics App.

I sorted it by country and broadcast language. As I expected, Mr Beast came top with 395M subscribers, 142M average monthly views, and 3.5% engagement rate.

Brands queue to partner with him because he has a lot of reach and the engagement rate on his videos is higher.

From my experience, Semrush Influencer Analytics is the best. Although the pricing plans are expensive, the features are worth it. 

For example, it shows a report of top-rated influencers on different social media platforms and how much it may cost you to collaborate with them. 

You monitor and track performance of your influencer campaign, and you also get real time data. These and many more are what make Semrush Influencer Analytics a go-to influencer analytics for any brand and marketer that wants to get the best result from influencer marketing.
