You don’t need a credit card. You get 100 credit bonuses in the first month and 10 credits per month. To me, this plan is for you to check out Copy.ai to see if it is what you need.

Otherwise, 100 credits and monthly 10 credits are nothing if you want to write a short copy, not to talk of long-form copy like a blog post. 

Pro Plan: Starts at $49/month 

The Pro Plan gives has advanced features. The blog wizard tool allows you to write blog posts in minutes. You can create unlimited writing projects; this is suitable if you are a content writing agency that handles multiple writing projects for clients. Above all, you get access to newest features.

Jasper.ai is one of the best AI copywriting tools that is becoming popular among content writers and marketers despite being new. Formerly known as Jarvis.ai, this AI copywriting Assistant is built on GPT-3 technology and has a huge database of words and phrases on the internet.

It has 50+ templates that you need to write any type of copy. It has advanced features which are available on the Boss Mode plan.

What is Copy.ai?

Copy.ai is an  AI copywriting tool that is also built on GPT-3 technology. Although it is not as popular as Jasper.ai, it has mid-range features that help you write high-quality copy.

It has a wide range of organized tools which are the same as templates. Its pricing plans are affordable in the sense there is no limit to the number of words you can write per month, unlike Jasper.ai.

1. Templates/Tools

Jasper.ai has over 50 advanced templates which you can use to write any kind of copy you want. There are templates for social media copy, digital copy,  website copy, product description, report writing, video description, and lots more.

These templates vary with fields. Depending on the type of copy you want to write, there are fields that guide the AI to write a high-quality copy for you.

If you subscribe to the Boss Mode Plan, you get new unique templates monthly at no extra cost. 

Jasper recently rolled out an update on its Boss Mode plan features. It increased the input text boxes in templates from 600 to 800 characters.

That’s a 33% increase that will allow you to add more inputs for Jasper to generate output for you. It also added a template for Tiktok video captions to help you create funny, persuasive, and eye-catching captions for your Tiktok videos in seconds. 

Copy.ai has tools that are the same as templates. It offers different tools for any kind of copy you want to write.

Although the tools that Copy.ai offers are less advanced compared to those of Jasper.ai, they are organized so that you can easily create any copy you want.

For example, Facebook Headlines, LinkedIn Ad Copy, Google Ad Copy, etc are under Digital Ad Copy. Same with Social Media tools where you see tools to create Instagram Captions, Tiktok Brainstorm Topics, YouTube Video titles, etc.

2. Supported Languages 

Copy.ai has input and output languages. It supports you to type in 25 different languages. Then you select from 25 different output languages that the AI will use to write your copy.

This means that Copy.ai translates your copy from one language to another. For example, you can type in US English and select German as the language you want Copy.ai to write your copy for you.

Even if the language you want is not available in the 25 different languages it supports,  you can request a new language. How easy it is for Copy.ai to add a language you requested is what I can’t tell. 

Jasper.ai also supports input and output languages.  You can type in 24 languages and Jasper.ai will write in 26  languages.

This means that Copy.ai has more input languages while Jasper.ai has more output languages. But the similarity here is that both translate copy from one language to another.

3. Long-Form Copy

Jasper.ai  doesn’t only write long-form copy but  99.99% original copy which requires little of your time and effort.

The Jasper AI assistant is specifically meant to help you write long-form copy like blog posts, reports, and books.

This feature is available only on the Boss Mode which supports integration with Surfer SEO which optimizes your long-form copy, especially blog posts if you want to rank for a target keyword. 

Copy.ai can write long-form copy like blog posts, reports, books. This feature is available on the Pro and Team plan so you don’t have to upgrade to a higher plan to write a long-form copy. 

However, you have to commit much of your time to guide it to ensure that it writes high-quality copy for you. 

4. Image Generator

Jasper officially launched its AI image generator – Jasper Art on August 19, 2022. The aim is for you to turn your imagination into awesome original, unique, and quality images that will complement your content.

This is an add-on, so you gotta pay to use it. The price, for now, is $20/per month per user. And you can generate unlimited images per month. However, Jasper is likely to change this price when its billing cycle for this product is ready.

A few days after Jasper Art was launched, a lot of Jasper users were on the waitlist, including me. Those on the annual plan were given preference to first have access to it. 

However, developers at Jasper did the magic and opened it to all paying customers. So as a Jasper user, you can now have access to Jasper Art. 

This is an add-on, so you gotta pay to use it. The price is $20/month per user. And you can generate unlimited images per month.

So if you are on the Boss mode plan and want to use Jasper Art, it is $59/month for AI writing + $20/month for Jasper Art = $79/month

Note: It’s not compulsory to sign up for Jasper Art. You can subscribe to the AI writing tool only.

You can also decide to subscribe to Jasper Art alone and just pay $20/month/user. It’s up to you.

Unfortunately, Copy AI doesn’t have an AI Image generator tool.

5. Plagiarism Checker 

Since the launch of Jasper.ai formerly Jarvis in 2021, no issue of plagiarism has been reported at least from over 2000 reviews on G2, Capterra, and Trustpilot.

Since plagiarism is an offense and most content marketers worry about it, Jasper takes it seriously. It integrates with Copyscape, the best plagiarism checker currently for you to check for plagiarism on your copy within its interface.

 Note that you have to subscribe to Copyscape before you can use it. The good side of it is that Jasper has a deal with Copyscape that allows Jasper users to get it at a discount.

Copy.ai doesn’t have an in-built plagiarism checker like Rytr. It also doesn’t integrate with any of the plagiarism checkers.

Although there is no issue of plagiarism on the copy it writes so far, you can use Copyscape to check for plagiarism but outside the Copy.ai interface. Also, you don’t get any discount, unlike Jasper users. 

6. High-quality Copy

I guess this is what should interest you most in this Jasper.ai vs Copy.ai comparison. Both AI copywriting tools run on GPT-3 technology. However, Jasper.ai has a larger database of words and phrases on the internet than Copy.ai.

This accounts for its ability to write 99.99% high-quality copy.  Also, the Jasper Assistant which is only available on the Boss Mode works to ensure that your long-form copy is of high quality. Based on my experience using Copy.ai and Jasper.ai, I can say the output of Jasper.ai is of higher quality than Copy.ai. 

7. Chrome Extension 

Jasper.ai doesn’t have a chrome extension. Many content marketers who write with it yearn for this. Copy.ai has a Chrome extension that you can download from the Chrome Web Store and install on your PC. 

Chrome extension makes it easy to use a program on PC. Jasper.ai assures its users that it is working to have a Chrome extension.

8. Grammar Fix

 AI copywriting tools rarely commit grammatical errors but you’re likely to commit one as a human when trying to reword or shorten words to suit your need. 

Jasper.ai integrates with Grammarly to fix grammatical errors. You fix all grammatical errors within the Jasper interface.

Interestingly, you don’t have to pay to use Grammarly on Jasper. Copy.ai doesn’t integrate with Grammarly.

You have to copy and paste your copy on Grammarly to fix grammatical errors if you don’t have it as an extension on your PC. Grammarly has a free plan but you have to upgrade to the premium plan to enjoy its advanced features which are not on the free plan. 

9. Formatting

Copy.ai has formatting tools. You can Bold, Underline, Italic, Add bullet points, links and change to H1 and H2. It doesn’t have the alignment tool which allows you to position words either left, right, center, or justify.

You may need to copy and paste your copy into Google Docs or Microsoft Word to effect these changes. 

Jasper.ai has more formatting tools. It has the alignment tool which allows you to align words to center, left, or right.

You can bold words, underline, add links and bullet points, change to H1, H2 headings, and italics. You can do your formatting on Jasper.ai without moving your copy to Google Doc or Microsoft Word to format.

10. SEO Tool Integration 

Jasper.ai integrates with Surfer SEO via API to help you optimize your long-form copy. This is a plus if you rely on organic traffic from search engines to get traffic to your website. After writing your copy with Jasper, you can use Surfer to optimize within the Jasper interface.

Surfer suggests the number of subheadings, paragraphs, and words your copy should contain. It also suggests keywords that should be in your copy and the number of times they should appear.

Take note of your content score on Surfer before and after you implement the suggestions. When done appropriately, your content score will improve.

You have to upgrade to the Boss Mode plan of Jasper to write long-form copy and also integrate with Surfer SEO.

While it may be a bit pricey, it is where you get all that Jasper has to offer. Its features like the Jasper Assistant and voice dictation make it easy to write high-quality long-form copy with ease.

Copy.ai doesn’t integrate with any SEO tool. This makes it unsuitable if you plan to optimize your blog post to rank for competitive keywords. However, it’s okay if ranking for competitive keywords isn’t your goal. 

11. AI Chat Conversation 

With ChatGPT seriously competing with Google, Jasper, and Writesonic knew they needed to respond to remain useful to their customers. Jasper without wasting time launched its own AI conversational tool – Jasper Chat which is available to users on the Boss Mode plan. Copy aI also launched its own – Chat by Copy AI which is also available to users on its paid plans. 

12. API

Jasper has an API. This means you can now integrate Jasper into your CMS, workflow, or app to create branded content at scale.

This feature is also available to Jasper Business plan users only just like Jasper Brand Voice. Tech partners are also welcome to collaborate with Jasper and have the API integrated into their systems. Copy AI also has an API that does the same things as Jasper’s.

13. Brand Voice

This feature is available on the Jasper Business plan and is for businesses to use Jasper to generate content that conforms with their brand voices. 

It takes into account 3 core identities of any business:

Knowledge: The product and service you offer to your target audience

Tone: How your brand sounds like and the best ways to use it to win over a potential customer

Style: Writing style that makes it easier for your audience to recognize you anywhere. It could be grammar, punctuation, verbiage, etc

Copy AI doesn’t offer this feature.

14. Ease Of Use

Copy.ai and Jasper.ai are easy to use. You don’t have to be tech-savvy to write high-quality copy with them. The interface of Jasper.ai is similar to that of Copy.ai.

The only difference is that Copy.ai  organizes its tools which are the same as templates under categories.

That way you know exactly where to find the tool you need to write your copy. Copy.ai also has a tutorial video within the interface that shows you how to write a copy with any tool you choose. 

15. Campaign Assets

Jasper just launched a new feature that allows businesses to create marketing campaigns tailored to their brand voice.
Once you login into your Jasper account, you will see the campaign tab on the left side panel. Click create a campaign and enter the campaign brief which serves as a guide.

Choose the assets you will need for your campaign – Google text ad, blog post, press release, landing page, etc. Within a few minutes, Jasper will output the asset you need based on your brief and according to your brand voice.
This feature is available on all paid plans of Jasper and is a game-changer for businesses that find it hard to create marketing campaigns that will convert to sales.

Copy AI is yet to have a feature like this.

16. Customer Support 

Jasper.ai has an active Facebook community with over 50,000 members. Based on my experience, this is the best place to get support because the CEO of this software, Dave Rogenmoser often responds to questions Jasper users ask.

Also, there are group experts who can help you resolve issues. There is a support team that you can email. You can watch tutorial videos or read articles on their help center to resolve issues yourself.

Copy.ai also has a Facebook community where you connect with fellow copywriters that use this tool to write. However, it is not active as Jasper’s Facebook community.

Also, the level of support is not the same. There are video tutorials and help center articles to help you. You can use the contact form to send them a message. 

Final Thought 

Jasper.ai and Copy.ai are top AI copywriting tools. Your choice here depends on what you look for in them. I have compared both for you to make an informed decision.

If I’m to suggest, Jasper.ai is the best if you want to write long-form high-quality content.

Its integration with Surfer SEO, Grammarly, and Copyscape helps to write a high-quality copy that can rank on search engines.

You can use the Jasper command to tell the AI to write for you. Jasper does 80% of the work while you put in 20% effort to fine-tune your copy.
