These templates have options to include target keyword, tone, target audience, and other functions that help you generate quality content.

For example, you can use the PAS ( Problem Agitation Solution) template to create new marketing and sales ideas, Facebook Ad template to generate ad copy for Facebook, and a lot more. What I like about Jasper templates is that new ones are added monthly especially if you are on the Boss Mode plan. 

Scalenut has 40+ templates which are also organized into categories just like Jasper. There are also PAS, Video descriptions, and other templates with options to include a target keyword, audience, tone, etc.

You can’t get confused using any of the templates because there are tutorial videos that show you how to use them. However, it doesn’t add new templates monthly.

Verdict: Jasper wins. Offers more templates and adds new ones monthly.

2. SEO

Scalenut is a powerhouse when it comes to SEO. Starting from content research, planning, and writing to optimization of your content to rank on SERPs, you are covered. What I like most about the SEO features is the Cruise Mode which allows you to write a blog post in 5 minutes.

Just pick a keyword you want to write about and enter it in the Cruise Mode. It shows you title tags that can perform better on search results. It also creates an outline and generates a blog post for you.

After which you begin the optimization process where you see your content score. The Cruise Mode tells you the number of images, H2, H3, FAQs, and most importantly NLPs that influence ranking which you should include in your content.

The SEO features of Scalenut can be compared to what you get on Surfer SEO or even Writerzen.

Jasper AI relies on its integration with Surfer to avail you of the features you need to optimize your content. Connecting Jasper to Surfer SEO gives you access to all in-built SEO features Scalenut has including topic clusters.

The difference here is you subscribe to Surfer which is an additional cost that Scalenut as an AI writing tool provides you with for free. Keep in mind that Surfer has more advanced SEO features than Scalenut.

Jasper AI supports writing in 24 input and 26 output major languages. This means you can input a command in French and ask Jasper to generate an output in English. So, if you live in countries where English isn’t a major language, you can still use Jasper to generate content. 

Scalenut supports writing only in English, which is a downside if you want to create content in other languages apart from English.

Verdict: Jasper wins

4. Quality Content 

Jasper AI and Scalenut write high-quality content. Thanks to their AI engine which is built on multiple GPT-3 models that allow them to learn deeply about a topic. 

You don’t have to worry about plagiarism because content written with both tools has a 0% plagiarism score on Copyscape.  

However, Jasper has an edge. It usually passes the AI content detection test when you check with Originality.ai. This means search engines like Google often see Jasper written content as that of a human writer.

 Scalenut content sometimes fails AI content detection tests. You have to give it a human touch by editing, and rephrasing some sentences to scale through.

 This is a plus to Jasper considering that Google is tough on AI content and content marketers who want to drive organic traffic worry about this.

Jasper just launched a new feature that allows businesses to create marketing campaigns tailored to their brand voice.
Once you login into your Jasper account, you will see the campaign tab on the left side panel. Click create a campaign and enter the campaign brief which serves as a guide.

Choose the assets you will need for your campaign – Google text ad, blog post, press release, landing page, etc. Within a few minutes, Jasper will output the asset you need based on your brief and according to your brand voice.
This feature is available on all paid plans of Jasper and is a game-changer for businesses that find it hard to create marketing campaigns that will convert to sales.

Scalenut is yet to have a feature like this.

6. Customer Support 

Jasper offers customer support via email, live chat, and more effectively on its Facebook community where Dave Rogenmoser, the co-founder often responds to questions from Jasper users. 

There are plenty of tutorial videos on its YouTube channel, and you can also read knowledge-based articles to resolve issues on your own. Scalenut also offers support via email, live chat, and its Facebook community. However, it doesn’t have many tutorial videos that explain in detail how to use each of the features the tools offer.

This is another edge Jasper has over it. Jasper goes as far as hosting webinars to show how its integration with other marketing tools works. For example, Dave Rogenmoser, the co-founder of Jasper, and Michael Suski, the co-founder of Surfer SEO have hosted webinars demonstrating how you can integrate and use both tools to achieve better results.

Jasper Has Recipes; Scalenut doesn’t 

Beginners to AI writing tools often need help to create content that meets their expectations. Jasper recognized this and launched what it called Recipes – a workflow that guides you on how to write any type of content. Recipes from the Jasper team are called Featured Recipes and you can see them on the Recipe page. 

It made it more interesting when it empowered users who create Recipes and share in the community so that others can leverage them. 

Scalenut doesn’t have anything of such. 

Jasper has Image AI Generator while Scalenut doesn’t 

Jasper has an AI image generator – Jasper Art which complements the AI writer. It’s an add-on to generate unique images for your content.

Instead of using generic images that every other person gets from photo stock sites like Unsplash and Pixabay, you create unique images that you can sell to make money.

Scalenut doesn’t have an AI image generator. The best it can offer is the free stock images you see when you want to add images to your content while on Cruise Mode.

Both write long-form content of 2000 words and above. If you are on Jasper’s Boss Mode plan, you can write long-form high-quality content in minutes using the one-shot blog post template. And there are other templates to write long-form marketing, sales, and business copy.

Scalenut also writes long-form content when you switch to the Cruise Mode feature. This allows you to generate high-quality long-form content in a few minutes, with features to edit, format, and optimize for search engines.

Short-form Content 

Jasper’s 60+ templates which include Video descriptions, Quora answers, and Facebook ads can be used to write short-form content. The same is true of Scalenut which has over 40 templates to write different forms of short-form content.

While Jasper AI relies on its integration with Surfer to provide its users with an SEO tool, Scalenut built it into its AI writing tool. Having used both, I can tell you that Scalenut’s in-built SEO tool, although no additional cost is involved isn’t a match to Surfer.

Jasper and Scalenut have collaboration features you can leverage to have your team members brainstorm on complex writing projects. You can have video conferences, make recommendations and pass projects to one another. However, this feature is available to users on higher plans for each of the tools. 

Facebook Community For Support 

Jasper’s Facebook community has 60+ members, and you can get help from Jasper team members like Austin Distel, the CMO, and Dave Rogenmoser, the co-founder who are part of the community.

It’s also a platform to ask questions and learn how other Jasper users maximize the tool to achieve great results. Scalenut also has a Facebook community of 2k+ members. Although not vibrant like that of Jasper, members often ask questions and give tips on how to use different features of Scalenut.

Pricing Plans 

Jasper and Scalenut have similar pricing plans. At least the Starter plan of Jasper and the Individual plan of Scalenut begins at $29/month.

 But there’s a slight difference in the higher plans. For example, Jasper’s Boss Mode Plan begins at $59/month to write 50k words. It means you pay more if you want to write above 50k words. Scalenut’s Growth Plan which costs $79/month guarantees unlimited number of words. 

Is Scalenut Better Than Jasper?

The answer depends on what you want. If you want an AI writing tool with an in-built SEO tool, then Scalenut can be said to be better.
